Escursioni - Altopiano di Brentonico
S. Giacomo (mt. 1194) - Rifugio M. Altissimo (mt. 2060): Classico sentiero di accesso al M. Altissimo attraverso le praterie del versante orientale. Da S. Giacomo si prende la mulattiera che conduce al Maso Girardelli dove si stacca un sentiero il quale, evitando alcune balze, si porta su un ripiano. Continuando in direzione nord-ovest si supera la fascia boscosa lungo un avvallamento e ci si mette sul costolone meridionale del Monte Campo. Se ne percorre la groppo per un breve tratto, quindi si attraversa a sinistra il versante meridionale e si raggiunge le sorgenti della Malga Campo.
Si lascia a sinistra la carreggiabile che viene dalla Bocca del Creer e si continua su sentiero che rimonta i pascoli di Paltrane e si raggiunge una sella a sud del Monticello. Sorpassatala ci si affaccia al M. Altissimo di Nago e ci si mette sul sentiero che, volgendo a sud, raggiunge una seconda sella, dalla quale si origina il largo crestone del M.
