Ala - Trento in Trentino
Borgo di antiche origini romane, Ala ha da sempre rappresentato un territorio di transito divenuto poi, a partire dal XVII secolo, grande centro economico grazie all’arte della seta e dei velluti. Il 17 agosto 1771, durante il loro secondo viaggio in Italia, il giovane Wolfgang e suo padre Leopold pernottarono presso i fratelli Pizzini nell’edificio che la nobile famiglia fece costruire per ospitare i numerosi personaggi illustri e potenti che erano soliti transitare per Ala. La calda ospitalità che ricevettero in quell’occasione li indusse a suonare per i loro ospiti, episodio che Leopold annotò in una delle sue lettere: “Ad Ala ci siamo divertiti a far musica o, meglio, siamo stati noi a divertire gli altri”.
